What you'll be doing?

Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships. 

Reporting to the Group Leadership and Talent Development Manager you will be Accountable for the design, delivery and evaluation of Group wide leadership, management and OD interventions.
  • Review and redefine our leadership development offer as required to ensure it is optimised to deliver strategic business outcomes
  • Consult with key stakeholders i.e. senior leaders to understand business and development needs, identifying clear expected outcomes and benefits
  • Lead the identification and design of new set of leadership capabilities to establish a strong benchmark of effective leadership of Barratt Redrow in 2026 and beyond
  • Design inclusive, values aligned leadership development programmes aligned to strategic priorities, leveraging a full range of experience, exposure and education-based interventions
  • Design and implement a new immersive induction for Senior Leaders
  • Design and implement leadership development programmes targeted at pivotal roles
  • Ensure all our leadership development interventions are delivering a return for the business through robust evaluation, leveraging great data and insight
  • Deliver leadership development, coaching and organisation/team development solutions, as required
  • Identify and manage external partners as needed to ensure they design and deliver appropriate solutions for our business, within budget
  • Work closely with teams from across the wider Talent & Development Function and beyond
 

To be successful in this role:

Essential

  • Deep specialist expertise in leadership development design, implementation, delivery and evaluation
  • Sees and leverages the benefit of leadership development as a tool for culture, organisation and business performance
  • A high level of knowledge of leadership and management development principles, both current and future
  • Strong understanding of theoretical knowledge around learning principles such as experiential learning and skills such as EQ & coaching
  • Strong delivery, facilitation and coaching skills
  • Naturally curious and stays close to emerging trends and thought leadership in their area of expertise
  • Experience of systemic talent management practices
  • Commercially astute with good data analytical skills
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills at all levels, with ability to influence core stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills

Desirable

  • As well as own direct contribution, be adept at leading others’ contribution and managing third party support as necessary
  • Accredited coach (ICF/EMCC)
  • Accredited to use psychometric tools to assess development needs (e.g. Hogan, Korn Ferry or similar)
  • Being proactive and curious, always challenging to make improvements and add value – does not settle for the status quo
  • Considered, balanced decision-making
  • Comfortable working in an environment of rapid change and ambiguity; an advocate for change
  • Demonstrates accountability for their own development
