What you'll be doing?

Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.

The role provides high-level administrative and organisational support to the Group Sales & Marketing Director and the Group Operations & Change Director. The role ensures the smooth running of departmental activities, effective communication across the business, and efficient management of key documentation and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for the Group Sales & Marketing and Group Operations & Change Director, managing correspondence, emails, and phone calls with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Manage complex diaries, scheduling meetings, site visits, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, reports, and presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Anticipate requirements and proactively manage priorities, ensuring the Directors are fully briefed and prepared.
  • Coordinate internal communications between the Directors, their departments and other internal teams
  • Manage expense claims, purchase orders, and budget tracking for the Group Sales & Marketing and Operations and Change functions.
  • Organise departmental events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Support the onboarding of new team members 

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:

• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy.
• Proactive and solution-oriented with a “can-do” attitude.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Proven experience as an Executive Assistant/PA supporting senior leadership.
• Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident in managing competing priorities and deadlines.
