What you'll be doing?

Gladman Developments are the UK’s most active and successful land promoter based in Congleton, Cheshire. We believe in using our expertise to partner with landowners to help them to realise the true potential of their land through its development for residential or residential led mixed-use development.

You will support the Finance team in ensuring the monthly management accounts are completed to meet required deadlines.

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting and ensuring accurate and timely payments and accounts are appropriately serviced
  • Liaising with the Barratt Finance team
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Reviewing and reconciling purchase and sales accounts, statements and receipts
  • Assisting in preparation of management accounts and associated reconciliations
  • Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Returns
  • Ensuring accurate accounting for VAT forecast
  • Providing a high level of customer service across the business, assisting with any account queries
  • Covering other members of staff when on holiday / sickness to facilitate efficient running of the accounts department
  • Assisting in ad hoc projects, tasks and reports as and when required
 

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
  • AAT-Qualified, working towards a higher accounting qualification.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good IT literacy including excel
  • Working experience of accounting software in particular COINS would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and able to manage a busy and varied workload efficiently
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong reconciliation, mathematical and organisational skills required
  • Motivated to learn and develop as your experience in the role increases
  • Must be able to work with others in a professional manner in order to support an inclusive and collaborative workplace.
