What you'll be doing?

Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.
 
While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.
 
Reporting to the Group Head of Sales you will play a key part in ensuring the Group Sales Team support driving Divisional performance, compliance and the overall Sales Strategy defined by the Group Head of Sales. This role will manage the North and South Group Sales Manager positions and the Sales Coordinator role providing clarity on priorities. Fostering strong Divisional and inter departmental relationship to ensure effective collaboration is essential for this role when delivering on new projects and initiatives 
 
You will be expected to:
  •  Effective management of the two Group Sales Management roles. Reviewing Divisional performance against KPIs and compliance accordingly reviewing actions plans where appropriate
  •  Responsible for ensuring Sales Coordinator delivers against the objectives set to fully support team with administrative duties and ad hoc tasks. 
  •  Responsible for Group Sales policy and procedure ensuring accuracy of information updates communicated to Sales team accordingly and Brick document updated frequently with due diligence. 
  •  Represent Group Sales in new projects/initiatives collaborating with the other disciplines where appropriate. Leading in providing guidance to wider Sales team. Proactively securing resource when/as required
  •  Monitor and evaluate the implementation of sales initiatives, providing insights and feedback to improve performance and facilitate continuous improvement. 
  • Attend regular site visits with team/Divisions to drive performance improvements and compliance. Ensuring outcomes are shared with Regional Managing Director, Managing Director, Sales Director and Group team as applicable. 
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, to ensure cohesive execution of sales initiatives and adapt strategies to meet market demands. 
  • Drive sales strategy and improvements agreed with the Group Head of Sales, ensuring collaboration with Group Sales Team. Leading on Sales improvements when necessary. 
  •  Oversee all Group Sales schemes, reviewing adoption, performance and seeking improvements where required. Developing and rolling out new schemes as applicable. 
  • Responsible for all reporting, presentations, papers, ensuring team collaboration/input to deliver against deadlines set. 
  •  Investigate Group customer complaints where applicable. Considering trends and addressing issues or risks where appropriate
  • Effective Management of third party suppliers collaborating with team to drive improvements, performance and future improvements

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
  •  Strong Sales background with a sound understanding of Marketing. 
  • Training/coaching background would be useful but not essential. 
  • Good working knowledge of Homebuilder / Microsoft Dynamics. 
  • Ability to present to large audiences, both face to face and virtually. 
  • Flexibility for travel is essential. 
  • Ability to influence at a senior and cross-functional level. 
  • Frequent, clear, concise communication with third party suppliers. 
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for building and maintaining relationships across various levels of the organization. 
  • Results-oriented and proactive, with the ability to adapt strategies to achieve desired outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 
  • Demonstrates leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching and developing the team. 
  • Strategic thinker with a practical approach to problem-solving and execution.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.  

  • Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously.  

  • Displays customer centric mentality.
