Are you ready to launch your career in the dynamic house-building industry? We’re excited to announce a unique opportunity in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University, offering a bespoke Higher & Degree Apprenticeship designed for individuals from all backgrounds.
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience from day one as a Trainee Assistant Site Manager to help lead projects from start to finish. You’ll attend four 1-week teaching blocks each year with Sheffield Hallam University, combining classroom and online learning, all while having your accommodation, meals and travel costs covered during university stays.
Over approximately 5 ½ years, you will earn a Cert HE and BSc (Hons) Degree in Professional Practice in Residential Development and Construction, recognised across the industry.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating with trades, ensuring our construction teams are well-supported, engaging with the Sales Team for smooth operations, and promoting a culture of safety and high standards on site.

You will be expected to:
- Follow the Higher and Degree Apprenticeship Programme, including attendance at 4 x 1-week annual block teaching with Sheffield Hallam University for academic study
- Continue to develop through reviews with your coach and mentor
- Support the Site Manager in co-ordinating trades and directing labour and materials to meet the production programme
- Support the Site Manager in ensuring that the onsite construction team is fully resourced and well directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities and are provided with full support in achieving these
- Work in conjunction with the Sales Team to ensure that regular meetings are attended, and all procedures are adhered to
- Ensure high standards of Health and Safety on site
- As and when required, deputise for the Site Manager
