JOB OVERVIEW:

As the Assistant Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Logistics Team are facilitating the accurate and efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the facility, whilst maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Previous experience and knowledge of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literacy, including ERP systems, Microsoft word and excel.
  • Numeracy skills for accurate record keeping.
  • Attention to detail for the accurate fulfilment of material requests.
  • Understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements for material handling.
  • Verbal and written communication skills for understanding requests and responding to material requests.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
What you'll need?

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience of working within manufacturing.
  • Experience of inventory control.
  • Counterbalance FLT licence
  • Combilift FLT licence (Desirable).

Desirable (training can be provided if required)

  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • A sound appreciation of Health & Safety practices (e.g., risk assessments, accident investigations, induction and training etc).

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Supervise the Logistics Team within the goods-in, put-away, picking and despatch areas. Ensure all delivery vehicles are unloaded in a timely manner. Ensuring lineside locations are replenished in a timely manner. Ensure despatch vehicles are loaded on time and that deliveries are met to the set schedule. Actioning customer queries and responding in a professional manner. Briefing and De-Briefing team members, conducting regular team and individual performance reviews. Maintain and build professional relationship with stakeholders including transport providers.

Maintain stock accuracy with cycle/PI counts Ensuring physical stocks are aligned within ERP system. Entering material movements within ERP system. Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
