Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.
While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.
You will support the Chief Operating Officer in fulfilling their responsibilities, contributing to the overall success of the business through the provision of efficient and effective administrative support.
You will be expected to:
- Work closely with the COO to manage the diary, planning ahead to ensure efficient running of COO office.
- Liaise with internal customers to ensure a smooth workflow between Executive team, Group Support and Divisional offices.
- Prepare monthly business reports, letters, emails and presentations for COO
- Coordinate and record LDLG/Board approvals.
- Ensure email, reports, incoming correspondence for COO are dealt with efficiently
- Process Expenses for COO
- Handle incoming calls and respond or redirect as appropriate
- Liaise with Customer Service Manager/taking escalated customer complaints messages, monitoring and passing on
- Arrange Hospitality events for COO
- Work with Employee Comms on arrangements for annual conferences. Attend conferences to assist with logistics when required
- Coordinate 6 monthly PDR process, Annual Salary review and Bonus review documents for COO
- Coordinate with COO’s direct reports to ensure deadlines are met
- Lead or contribute to projects as directed
- Manage Holiday authorisations for COO reports via iTrent
- Prepare travel logistics for COO
- Prepare Annual Strategic Meeting Schedule
- Coordinate MRR/ RMD/Operational Function meetings liaison with all interested parties
- Coordinate other visits and meetings inc. Board visits, Pride in Job, MRR and liaising with Regional offices
