What you'll be doing?

Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships. 


Reporting to the HR Insight Manager, you will provide HR analytical information and support to the business to enable effective decision making and the implementation of actions. You will act as a subject matter expert to develop enhancements to both the iTrent system and MyHR, as well as support core iTrent users across the organisation. You will also ensure data security and integrity/accuracy of people data through monitoring and challenging Users as appropriate.  


You will be expected to:

  • Design reports to meet business needs, support in the review existing reports for relevance and recommend improvements as appropriate. Includes redesigning reports, creating new formats & collating disparate sources/reports and providing summary insight and analysis as required.
  • Act as subject matter expert along with Payroll/Reporting Co-ordinator on Business Objects, as the key iTrent reporting tool
  • Support in the effective processing of the Annual Salary Review, responding to queries throughout.
  • Support the effective processing of the Annual Performance Bonus payment.
  • Support the calculation of the annual Gender Pay Gap values as required to satisfy regulatory obligations.  Extend this to Ethnicity Gap values as required.
  • Support the calculation of the annual CEO Pay Ratio as required to satisfy regulatory obligations.
  • Enable timely and effective benchmarking of Barratt salary and benefit levels via survey submissions to relevant organisations.
  • Provision of regular market analysis and benchmarking reports for salaries and financial benefits
  • Support the provision of updated salary Increments for key operational roles, as well as the cascade to, & education of, Managers.  Includes analysis of current employees against Increments to support HR Ops teams minimise any potential Gender Pay risks.
  • Maintain security of HR data and champion GDPR requirements for all information provided to internal and external parties.
  • Provision of any modelling data as required.
  • Collation of additional reports and analysis relating to the engagement surveys, to support analysis and Group and Functional action planning.
  • Ensure the accuracy, relevance, security and integrity of people data within own remit, through monitoring and challenging Users as appropriate. 
  • Support and assist other iTrent users both within the HR team and across the business.  Keep up to date with any MHR development plans by attending Seminars, as appropriate, to assess and advise on future development and impact on Barratt. 
  • UAT script writing/review and testing of iTrent when upgrades are applied to the system.
  • Provide ad-hoc people-related analytical support to the business
What you'll need?

To be successful in the role, we are looking for: 

  • Graduate calibre
  • Experience in a similar role as subject matter expert, influencing decisions and advising key decision makers
  • Trained in UK GPDR regulations
  • Previous experience of iTrent is preferred, with Business Objects capability.
  • A good working knowledge of Barratt Developments PLC operating structure and processing routines would be an advantage.
  • Excellent IT and excel skills, analytical thinker, use of initiative and independent mind
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think analytically and articulate issues.
  • Ability to multi - task and on occasions, work at speed, therefore have good organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle peaks in workload and to manage expectations well
