Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR,Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.

The Corporate Sustainability team promote the sustainability of our business by providing insight and connecting teams so we that can drive those environmental and social aims that make will a difference at the national level and to future generations.
We scan the horizon internally and externally, utilising world class expertise to provide the right solutions, with the aim of bringing teams together and driving the delivery of priorities. Collaboration and cooperation is central to how we work.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Sustainability you will support the delivery of the sustainability strategy by developing, implementing, monitoring and measuring a comprehensive programme of initiatives. In order to deliver on this remit, you will be proactive in engaging with internal stakeholders in all function groups and divisions, as well as external providers and technical experts.
You will be expected to:
- Autonomously coordinate sustainability projects and initiatives by working with Divisional teams and Group functions, ensuring the outcomes are aligned with our business aims and commitments. Be proactive in pursuing sustainability initiatives by continually driving engagement with various teams through collaboration.
- End to end project management and co-ordination of data, case studies, or other material for sustainability disclosures or public information.
- Support the completion of projects, reporting indices, internal and external reporting and communications related to the sustainability strategy and framework through accurate and timely co-ordination, as well as contributing to the implementation of key projects as required.
- Proactive and timely review and co-ordination of information for all sustainability reporting, including for annual reports, indices and benchmarks, comfortably meeting deadlines and ensuring the content is to a high standard.
- Contribute to the external assurance process for Sustainability KPIs.
- Liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally (such as such as Divisional teams, group functions, consultants and contractors) to seek and manage inputs, using these to ensure high quality and cohesive outcomes for all initiatives.
- Share knowledge and expertise with the team and the rest of the business through meetings, presentations, webinars and seminars. Produce training materials for colleagues to embed new processes and ways of working.
- Work with external teams to develop the strategy for discrete projects, and develop and deliver the project plan to embed this within the business.
- Support the Head of Corporate Sustainability by providing research, analysis and insights, as well as co-ordination of the framework as required.
